IAET New Faces of Engineering
IAET New Faces of Engineering is normally awarded to promote the accomplishments of young
engineers by highlighting their engineering contributions and the resulting impact on society. IAET New
Faces of engineering award seeks our next generation of engineering leaders (age 30 or younger) having
outstanding talents, skills and abilities.
IAET Innovative Project Award
IAET Major Project Award recognizes the contribution of a team of up to five engineers who have
delivered a major engineering project that has had a substantial impact on society. Innovative Project
Award are given to identify innovative and creative projects undertaken by students at three levels, viz.,
B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech and Ph.D. in Engineering Colleges. This Award recognizes innovative and
creative projects and theses of students and research scholars in engineering institutions, since an early
recognition of merit and talent can often mark the beginning of a brilliant career.
IAET Excellence in Research Award
The IAET Excellence in Research Award honors the achievements of faculty of Engineering and Applied
Science who demonstrate innovation in pursuing critical research. The association seeks candidates who
are addressing a major societal challenge, using innovative techniques or approaches to identify a
solution, and are engaging graduate and undergraduate students in their research program. The awardee
must hold the title of assistant professor or associate professor.
IAET Young Woman Engineer
IAET Young Woman Engineer honors the dynamic young female engineers who represents the very best
of Engineering profession. She should be a high achiever, a problem solver and a team player. She
should be an inspiration to her colleagues and, just as importantly, have the charisma and personality to
inspire others to follow in her footsteps.
IAET Excellence in Teaching Award
IAET Excellence in Teaching Award honors the achievements of senior faculty members of Engineering
and Applied Science. The association seeks candidates who have proven records of offering students the
best possible engineering education through innovative and inspirational teaching methods, curriculum
development and support of student academic efforts. Awardees must hold the title of professor,
distinguished professor, assistant professor or associate professor.
IAET Lifetime Contribution Award
The Lifetime Contribution Award honors individuals who have brought distinction to the profession.
Nominees need not be member of association. The association seeks candidates who have led
exceptional careers in their chosen field and made significant contributions in respective field.
IAET Distinguished Service Award
IAET Distinguished Service Award is normally awarded to an IAET Member for exceptional
contributions to the Engineering Profession, to one's community, and specifically to IAET.
IAET Professional Achievement Award
The Professional Achievement Award honors the achievements Engineering Professional in their
chosen fields, including academia, industry and entrepreneurship. The association seeks candidates with
distinguished career accomplishments; contributions to the engineering profession; a history of
mentorship; and notable service to the community and the profession.
IAET Engineering Education Excellence Award
IAET Engineering Education Excellence Award is normally awarded to the engineering faculty who have
demonstrated the ability to link engineering education with professional practice. The recipients must
have a faculty appointment in any recognized university engineering program.
IAET Professionalism Progress Award
IAET Professionalism Progress Award is normally awarded to a professional who has made significant
progress in his profession. The association seeks candidates with distinguished career accomplishments
specifically with significant contributions to the engineering profession.
IAET Young Professional Achievement Award
The Young Professional Achievement Award honors the early career achievements of professionals
who are under the age of 40. The association seeks candidates with impactful accomplishments in
academia, industry or entrepreneurship; contributions to the engineering profession; a demonstrated
commitment to mentorship; and notable service to the community and the profession.
IAET Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award
IAET Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award honors the achievements of distinguished students who
received their bachelor’s degrees in the most recently completed academic year. The association seeks
candidates who reflect academic and research excellence, leadership, and service to the university or
community.
IAET Outstanding Master’s Student Award
IAET Master’s Student Award honors the achievements of distinguished master’s students who received
their degree in the most recently completed academic year. The association seeks candidates who
reflect academic and research excellence, leadership, and service to the university or community.
IAET Outstanding Doctoral Student Award
IAET Outstanding Doctoral Student Award honors achievements of distinguished doctoral students who
received their degree in the most recently completed academic year. The association seeks candidates
who reflect academic and research excellence, leadership, and service to the school, university or
community.
IAET International Medal
For outstanding and sustained personal achievement in engineering by an individual. The medal is
normally awarded to an engineer who has made an exceptional contribution to engineering as a whole
through practice, management or education. It will normally be awarded annually.
IAET Special Interest Groups Awards
IAET Special Interest Groups Awards is normally awarded to an Interest group member who is dedicated
to raise awareness of engineering interest group among the peers. Promoting the interest group through
various professional activities and other contributions to interest group considers worthy of recognition
